What information does Stencil hold about me?

We think it's important you understand what kind of information Stencil holds about you and your account with us. Below is a list of the information we may hold depending on what type of account you have with us.

  • Upon signup, we prompt you for your name, email and a password.
  • Any images, logos or watermarks you upload to Stencil, we store on servers under our control
  • When you visit Stencil, we record your IP address. This is primarily done for security reasons, but it may expose what city or country you're accessing Stencil from.
  • If you connect your Twitter account, we store your Twitter username, bio, and your last tweet.
  • If you connect your Facebook account, we store your Facebook username, ID, and some other "meta" data so that if you decide to use our "Post to Facebook" feature, we're able to post it to your desired Facebook account / group reliably.
  • Any images you design and save or download while within Stencil are stored on servers under our control.
  • Any fonts you upload to Stencil are stored on servers under our control.
  • If you've upgraded to a paid Stencil account, we have access to your basic credit card information through our partner Stripe. However for security and regulatory reasons, we do not have access to your credit card number or CVC number.
