I'm having trouble upgrading my account

During the upgrade process, it's possible you may run into errors when entering your credit card information. These errors may say things like the following:

  1. Your card was declined.
  2. The zip code you supplied failed validation.
  3. Your card does not support this type of purchase.
  4. Your card number is incorrect.
  5. Your card's security code is incorrect.
  6. The zip code you supplied failed validation.

This can be due to the following:

  1. A mistake was made while entering your credit card details.
  2. A mistake was made while entering your credit card's expiry year and month or security code
  3. There is a typo with your zip or postal code

For security reasons, we require all of these to exactly match the information that your credit card provider has. If you're sure that this is correct, but you're still getting an error message, it could be related to the following:

  1. You're using a debit credit card, and the card doesn't have enough funds to cover the transaction
  2. Your credit card isn't set up for online purchases
  3. Your credit card might see Stencil as an unfamiliar charge

If everything is in order, but you're still having an issue with the process, you may need to call your credit card provider to authorize the charge, or to inquire what else may be going on.
