I'm having trouble downloading my image

You may be seeing this article because you're trying to download an image, but nothing is happening.
It sometimes looks like this (notice the spinner that never stops spinning):

This can happen for a few reasons:

  1. It's possible that your image is very large, which means it can take a while to prepare the download.
  2. Your internet connection may be a bit slower than usual today, which can again delay the download from starting.
  3. Something went wrong in the process of saving your image.

If it's (1) or (2), simply waiting a few more moments should resolve the issue.

Possible fix for Chrome

If you're using Chrome, it's possible your Chrome settings are blocking downloads from Stencil. Even if downloading used to work, sometimes Chrome updates these settings.

In Chrome, take a look at this settings page: chrome://settings/content/automaticDownloads (you may need to copy and paste this link into a new tab in order for it to load).

On this page, you may see a setting at the top that says:
